Tại thị trường Việt Nam máy thuỷ gắn ngoài Tohatsu chưa thực sự được nhiều người biết đến nhưng xét về thương hiệu và giá trị sử dụng thì động cơ Tohatsu không hề thua kém nhiều so với Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda...
Máy chạy xuồng Tohatsu mang thương hiệu Nhật cho nên ưu điểm lớn nhất đó là sự bền bỉ, khả năng vận hành êm ái, tiết kiệm nhiên liệu, dễ bảo dưỡng, sửa chữa và có tính thanh khoản cao.
Động cơ thuyền hơi Tohatsu so với người anh em Yamaha kẻ tám lạng người nửa cân và giá thì mềm hơn một chút cho nên bạn hoàn toàn có thể sử dụng máy thuỷ Tohatsu cho những chiếc xuồng hơi của mình.
